Using Reiki to Aid in Surgery

January 5th, 2011

?

People scheduled for a medical surgery, regardless if it is a minor surgery or a complicated one, would be greatly helped by Reiki therapies. Certain surgeries are needed by the body to totally free it from certain diseases. Reiki would help greatly in these instances ? although not too directly.

Reiki is the best complement of modern medicine. So if your doctor tells you that you have problems with your uterus, you shouldn’t just rely with a Reiki practitioner to heal you totally. The better way to solve health concerns is to continue with your doctor’s medications and procedures, and then seek the help of a Reiki practitioner to speed up the healing process.

In which case, Reiki can help in two ways. It can make you feel better in no time and make your doctor feel the Reiki energy inside him in order to treat you more efficiently. The distance healing of Reiki allows any practitioner to send off the necessary energy to the doctor, including all other people that you will be in contact with at the hospital. Full Reiki treatment on yourself would help you a lot during the actual surgery procedure as well.

Surgeries complemented with Reiki are known to proceed more smoothly and very successfully. When Reiki is used on an estimated three-hour surgery session, chances are high that it would only take the patient two hours inside the surgery room. More so, it is possible that the complications of the disease, if any, will be resolved as easily as well.

Reiki can also be used during one’s recovery period. Pain is commonly felt after undergoing surgery. The pain a person goes through during the post surgical recovery period can be enveloped with the Reiki’s power to summon energy, love, and healing. As such, the patient will be able to live fuller and freely in the next few days.

The experiences of surgery patients on Reiki would further prove that recovery happens almost immediately along with the needed therapy. When most people would have to bring medical appendages like dextrose and catheter at home, those who had Reiki therapy sessions done on them would virtually leave the hospital without anything else attached to them but their clothes.

Reiki practitioners and receivers who will undergo any type of medical surgery very soon are advised to get at least fifteen full Reiki sessions on themselves the period before the actual surgery schedule. And if the energy can be sent over to the attending physician, surgeon, and nurses, the effect would even be more monumental.

By doing so, the time you took off from work to recover will be cut in half. Through Reiki, you won’t have to spend six weeks on your recovery bed waiting for the pain to subside and the wounds to heal. In three weeks, you should be totally healed. And you can use your remaining time for further self-improvement through the principles of Reiki. Be healed easily and effectively today.

Life Force, Reiki Healing for All Peoples

January 5th, 2011

Reiki, denoting ‘Divine Life Force’ is a secure and preferable manner of coping with a variety of complications. I say preferable because unlike the alleged conventional treatments founded on pills and medical interventions, the Reiki healing comes with no adverse effects.

With Reiki there are no contradications whatsoever.

The intense relaxation you feel with this type of unconventional remedy is like a light moving across your body. Clearing away every sign of ill health that has been troubling you.

You will see the affects for yourself: Reiki can deal with the troubles in life that both the body and the mind encounter, physically, mentally, and emotionally. When Reiki treatment is applied you can see your stress and anxiety melt away. And when you apply it at home after a busy and tiring day, the pressure of your daily life eases, and you truly relax.

Reiki is able to lighten up both your body and spirit by means of constructive and positive thinking. Reiki therapy is undemanding: just by positioning your hands on or near yourself or a patient, the life force runs from (the one who is channelling Reiki) to the recipient. Simple!

Reiki could be said to have its origins in one of the many Asian religions. Reiki is not a religion.

The most common conception is that Reiki developed as a changed structure of Buddhism. Buddhism stands as one of the oldest beliefs in the world. Some correspondence exists between Buddhism and the Reiki unconventional remedy; The most decisive similarity with Reiki and Buddhism is the profound healing principle of both.

Nonetheless, the creators of Reiki were not Buddhist. They had learned about Buddhism, but they had also studied other beliefs, such as Christianity. What is more, while Buddhism is viewed as a religion (albeit one lacking a god) Reiki is a way of coping with your physical, mental and spiritual problems.

Reiki is a particular type of delicate energy transfer. In the process, the healing has effect when the therapist puts his or her hands on or above the body. In this way, a relationship takes place between the patient and an immeasurable spring of life energy.

This energy transfer runs through the Reiki practitioner – he/she is the channel, the energy path. The Reiki Healing force is very strong, yet is incredibly soothing and kind to all. You can lead it towards oneself and towards others with complete understanding and faith that it is doing nothing but good.

The healing light/vibration is drawn from the ‘Universal Life-Force’ and is therefore multi-level. Reiki will awaken your mind, body and spirit to a more relaxed lifestyle.

The Healing Art of Reiki

January 5th, 2011

?

Reiki is a Japanese type of spiritual practice also used for stress reduction and relaxation. It is a technique that also helps promote healing either for self or for other people. It is characterized as a practice of “laying of hands”.

The healing powers of the technique are based on the idea that there is an unseen “life force energy” that flows through each person. This life force is said to be the reason why people are alive. When one’s life force energy is low, then people are likely to get sick or feel weak. If the life force is high, people fell healthy and happy.

Reiki is also a form of meditation used as a type of therapy for treating physical, emotional, and mental diseases. The name Reiki is taken from two Japanese characters that describe energy itself. The word “rei”, which means “unseen” or “spiritual” and “ki” which means “energy” or “life force” is combined to become Reiki. In English, its meaning is usually given as “universal life energy”.

It was Mikao Usui who was known to have developed Reiki in 20th century Japan. Story has it that Usui received the ability of healing after going through three weeks of fasting and meditating on top of Mount Kurama. Practitioners of Reiki use a technique similar to that of the laying on of hands.

This action is said to promote the channeling of “healing energy” to another person. The energy flows through the palms and brings along with it healing powers that can be used for self-treatment as well as for treating others.

Reiki is a simple, natural as well as safe method of dispensing spiritual healing and self-improvement. It is said to be effective in providing alternative treatment for virtually every known illness and malady. Not only that, Reiki also helps create an added beneficial effect, that of spiritual healing. This method is also said to work well when combined with other medical or therapeutic techniques to help relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Reiki, although seen as a very powerful healing technique, is an amazingly simple to learn. Reiki and the ability to use it effectively cannot be taught in the usual sense. The skill is said to be “transferred” to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is not merely learned but is passed on by a Reiki master to the student during a gathering known as “attunement”. After the skill has been passed on, it allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” that can then be used to improve one’s health and enhance the one’s quality of life.

Although the practice of Reiki may be spiritual in nature, it is not considered as a religion. There are no set of beliefs that one should learn about before learning to practice the technique known as Reiki. The practice does not depend on any form of dogma.

It will work whether the student believes it or not. But it is said that the practice of Reiki helps people to keep in touch of their spiritual selves rather than the intellectual concept that it provides.

The practice of Reiki also aims to develop and promote living in harmony with others. Aside from practicing Reiki and its principles, the founder of the Reiki system, Mikao Usui also recommends the practice of simple ethical ideals that can lead to peace and harmony among people. Getting to know what Reiki is may help people not only become a healing channel but also a tool to promote peace among other people.

5 Common Myths About Reiki

January 4th, 2011

Many people often misunderstand the Reiki or healing with energy. In this article we will be looking into 5 common myths about Reiki and how you can align yourself with the highest degree of healing.

1) Reiki Healing is a Cult or a Religion

This is completely wrong. Reiki is all about spirituality; there is nothing religious about it. There isn’t any Reiki church or a priest who gives sermons on it. The foundation of Reiki lies in its principles that have been laid out for its practicing students. These principles are not at all connected to religion but rather come from a Japanese Emperor. The ability to heal totally corresponds to the ethical code. Although Reiki principles aren’t usually communicated with the person receiving it, they might be in some cases. This communication fully revolves around the well being of the recipient.

2) The Reiki Practitioner Heals the Recipient.

No, not really. This can be explained easily, a person practicing Reiki is the one who pours Reiki energy or universal force of life onto the person receiving it so that they are able to heal their mind, body and spirit. The Reiki healing energy is passed on through the practicing individual and is passed on to the recipient. Here, the Reiki practitioner happens to be only a medium for the healing process. No one has the ability to heal you but yourself. The whole task of healing cannot be designated to someone else.

3) Reiki is a One Time Healing Procedure.

It would be very helpful if this were true. Although there are times that recipients get healed and cured with one short healing session. However, chances of that happening are very rare. Healing isn’t a one-time thing; it’s holistic, a process, and a path that you need to walk on to see results. To get worthwhile results and experience real changes, Reiki recipients are usually recommended to go through at least 3 to 4 sessions. Typically what clients do is they go through a few sessions, get a break, and come back again in a few months. However be the approach to the problem, the point remains the same, that healing is an ongoing process.

4) A Reiki Treatment Deserves to Be Free

Reiki is universal, it?s a divine art and complete life force energy – thus it should be free. However, it cannot be provided free of cost unless and until the practitioner himself offers it as a gift or for some charity purposes. When you are paying to a Reiki practitioner he should be completely prepared to offer the treatment. He must be eligible and have the skill and the ability to direct the Reiki energy for the purpose of your healing. In short, he must put in all the effort required to be a professional, well-equipped service provider. This is the reason why you should be paying for Reiki, just the way you pay for any other health service or surgery.

5) Healing Means Getting Cured.

Curing may be a part of the healing procedure. However, if you do get healed, it does not necessarily mean you’re cured. Healing is different than curing, in fact they are opposite in their approach towards wellness. Curing works by working on getting rid of the symptoms of the health condition and its physical causes, whereas healing directly attacks the main cause of the health problem. Reiki healing is all about spiritual, emotional and mental re-balancing and unblocking. It works on dissolving the root cause of the condition, which leads to alleviating the symptoms as on the whole.

Message From the Heavens: Celestial Reiki

January 4th, 2011

Let?s break the concept down into simpler explanations. If you don?t know what Reiki is, in a nutshell, it is a technique or a spiritual practice that is used to heal. In simpler terms the practice reduces stress and induces deep relaxation, among other benefits.

The technique was developed by Japanese Mikao Usui and was primarily intended as a form of therapy that could be used in tandem with conventional techniques for treating physical, emotional and mental illnesses. It is a healing technique.

The concept of celestial Reiki is the same. But instead of having a spiritual experience limited here on Earth, one who practices celestial Reiki takes into account the other planets of the solar system as well as stars and constellations, particularly the star constellations of the 12 signs of the zodiac.

According to the teachings of Reiki, there?s an energy that can be channeled to help heal diseases. This energy is universal and flows within us as our ?life force?. This life force energy dictates our feelings and dispositions. The more active the energy flows through us, the healthier and happier we become.

With celestial Reiki, the ?life force? that is used to heal in ordinary Reiki is taken further. The earth?s core ?life force? energy is used to heal the mind, body and soul. And since all planets and star systems emit a particular ?life force? signature, celestial Reiki practitioners harness that energy and use the energy from the celestial bodies to heal the human body.

Reiki treatment involves the whole body. This includes the body?s physical state and its emotional, intellectual and, of course, the spiritual well being. When you look at it, Reiki is a simple self-improvement technique. And since the ?life force? energy it teaches is said to be present in all things, anybody can use this energy to heal and promote recovery.

It?s not limited to individual energy, but encompasses the universe. This is why the ?life force? energy in Reiki is infinite. And regardless of how many times or how many people use it, the ?life force? energy can always be utilized to heal.

However, Reiki is not taught but rather the ability is transferred by a Reiki master to his student during the stage of what they call ?attunement.? At this level, the Reiki master passes the ability of Reiki to a student allowing hem to tap to the ?life force? energy which will give him the ability to heal wounds and illnesses and generally improve one?s quality of life.

One need to emphasize, however, that Reiki is not a religion. Instead, those who practices Reiki get more intimate with their own religion, understanding and enriching their own religious beliefs. A Reiki practitioner has to promote the way of good living in order to master the flow of the ?life force? and promote harmony and peace for true healing to happen.

Going back to celestial Reiki, what we currently know about the solar system and stars is given a new light by practicing this form of Reiki.

Understand that the universe?s ?life force? energy can be channeled it into one?s hands to heal not only on the individual level but eventually heal the whole planet as well. And by connecting with each planet and star system, Reiki practitioners are able to accomplish such feat.

Medicine Reiki, a Perfect Union of East and West

January 4th, 2011

The bear and the eagle, Father Sun and Mother Earth. Nope, this is not an animal or environmental write-up. But rather, this short write-up is about Native American medicine practices and how it can be combined with another Eastern technique called Reiki to come up with a healing method that channels the life force energies of everything that surrounds us.

Practitioners refer to this as Medicine Reiki, a technique which combines the medicinal approaches of Native Americans and the rather spiritual approaches of Japanese Reiki.

But medicine Reiki was not created to surpass any other forms of Reiki but it was created because of a realization that there is a way to broaden and deepen the understanding of the energy that binds us all together. It can be seen as a natural course of action, from a general concept as Reiki, to more specialized forms like medicine Reiki.

By integrating Native American concepts of healing, beliefs and practices to the knowledge of channeling the life force energy of Reiki, healing takes place faster than when using regular Reiki or ordinary Native American medicines alone. How so, you might ask? The answer all lies on how these two elements work.

We take medicines to heal our physical ailments. But because medicines heal only the physical aspects of our body, the possibility of the illness or disease striking twice is not that far off. Medicines offer merely temporary relief. Reiki on the other hand, is an encompassing discipline which targets the physical, mental, spiritual and mental aspects of our existence. Reiki practitioners use the infinite energy that surrounds us, channels that energy and allow it to flow to anyone or anything that needs healing.

By combining these two elements of healing, you?ll get medicine energy that heals beyond its normal capacity. The combination heals both the physical state and the inner dispositions of the body faster as well.

The concept of medicine Reiki is relatively new. It was K’sitew who founded this branch of Reiki in the late 90s. From then on it grew and the practice expanded to include other energies.

The good thing about medicine Reiki is that it can only be used for healing. Unlike when taken alone, medicines can be good and bad, a dualistic energy source. Reiki is a monadic energy which means it is only good energy thus cannot do any harm. When Reiki is integrated with medicine, the dualistic energy of the latter is converted into a monadic energy resulting to a positive form of energy whose only capacity is to heal and not damage or hurt someone.

What also makes medicine Reiki different is that the healing process is done in groups or in small communities. Participation of the community is necessary during the healing sessions creating a closer bond between individuals which is great for sharing energy. The closer the bonds between the members of the group, the greater the energy flows within the group, the better and faster the healing process.

Since the founding of this Reiki technique, more healing methods have developed which draws its origins from Native American medicines.

And as long as practitioners exist, this Reiki healing technique will continue to grow and expand bringing forth new healing methods or techniques that will help people challenge their health and energy levels.

What is Reiki Self Attunement?

January 3rd, 2011

Reiki Self Attunement is simply a Reiki attunement that a person does alone to attune him/herself. They are popular because it is not necessary to visit a practitioner or even leave home and especially you can attune by your self with your powerful energy that already inside you.

Reiki energy is universal and limitless. It is around us and inside of us. Whether or not we are aware of the energy, it still exists. Very simple?? thats why Reiki Self Attunement can be more effective.

A Reiki self attunement can be just as effective as an attunement performed by a master. An attunement allows us to be aware of the energy, focus the energy and use it to heal ourselves or others. A lot of Master are opening classes or courses to teach people who want access the Reiki energy or become a reiki practitioner but in my opinion if you have already to know what is reiki, you don’t have to join that reiki class or reiki course.

After a Reiki self attunement, you should be more aware of the universal energy or reiki energy. You should be able to access and use the energy for any good purpose such as heal yourself, your family or some you love.

If you have some traumas, both large and small, can negatively affect your life, your physical and mental health, a Reiki self attunement can help you with the

Ireland Based Reiki Distance Healing Claims Investigated

January 3rd, 2011

The Irish Reiki websites that Irishskeptic.com visited to write this article have three elements in common:

1.Each website contains the words “energy” and “life force”. None of the websites define exactly what they mean by these words.

2.The websites claim to provide “absentee (distant) healing”.

3. They also feature workshops, where Reiki “techniques” are taught, usually for a substantial fee.

Reiki Energy and The Life Force

One Reiki website states:

“A Sampling of Beneficial Uses of Reiki Distant Healing Energy
Reduces: Stress, Anxiety, Surgery Discomfort, Depression, Test Anxiety
Increases: Personal Growth, Relaxation, Creativity, Emotional Healing, Peace
Improves: Clarity, Relationships, Public Speaking/Presentations, Interviews, Auditions”.

In science, the word energy is defined as “the capacity of a physical system to perform work.” Energy is a unit of measurement and nothing more than that. Unfortunately, practitioners of Reiki seem unable to tell us anything specific about their use of the word energy.

It is also unclear what part of the body is being “rebalanced” or how this “rebalancing” is achieved. No clinical evidence was provided on any of the websites I visited to support the “healing” claims. This is not really surprising given the fact that Reiki practitioners believe the “Universal Life Energy” cannot be detected by any scientific instruments. However it can, apparently, be felt and manipulated by those special people who pay to learn the proper techniques.

Absentee (Distance) Healing

None of the Irish Reiki websites I visited provided any details of how the distant healing process might work. Prices vary for this service, one practitioner charges ?20 per healing session whilst other adepts provide it free of charge. One Reiki practitioner, with no apparent medical qualification, refers to the people seeking distant healing as “patients”.

If the healing fails, however, the “healer” may claim that it is because the patient is resisting the healing energy.

Reiki Workshops

Workshops feature prominently on Irish Reiki websites. The workshops are on three levels, each with an associated cost.

Reiki Level 1 “teaches self healing and confers the ability to heal family and friends on a non-professional basis.” The cost for this course is generally around ?250.

Reiki Level 2 incorporates additional attunement which “multiplies the healing energy that can be channeled.”
Cost: around ?350.

Level 2 qualification allows budding Reiki practitioners the chance to recover their course fees by offering distant healing services.

Reiki Level 3 incorporates Initiation into Reiki Mastership, “the final attunement to Reiki energy which multiplies healing energy by an infinite number of times. This results in more powerful healing and faster healing
times.”

Reiki Level 3 mastership is also a teaching qualification. Cost: around ?500.

Reiki masters are then allowed to pass on Reiki techniques by running their own workshops, presumably with a similar price structure.

REIKI ENERGY HEALING

REIKI is on the most ancient healing methods known to man. It originated in Tibet and was reintroduced in the nineteenth century by the Japanese monk Dr. Mikao Usui.

Reiki is mentioned in 2500-year-old writings in Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language. The Usai system is named after Dr. Usai and it has been passed down to Reiki masters since that time and is now practiced worldwide.

We humans have Universal Life Energy all around us and within us. This life force energy is given to us at birth and we use it up in the business of ordinary daily living. We have to create a daily supply of new energy when we are unable to for a prolonged period, we may become physically or emotionally ill. If our supply of this life force energy is very low and depleted, we suffer from all sorts of physical, emotional and mental disorders.

WHAT IS REIKI

Reiki is a natural and simple healing method, which allows a person to absorb more life force energy. The system vitalizes your life force by balancing the energies in the body. This natural energy flows in a powerful and concentrated form through the hands of the Reiki healer. The Reiki healer lays hands on the various chakras, energy channels, there are seven main energy channels, and balancing these centers will bring the body back into harmony. Once balance is restored the body can start to heal from within.

Stress is generally thought to be the reaction to the demands of daily life. If you cannot cope with these demands you may react with physical, emotional and mental symptoms. If you suffer stress over a long period of time, the body loses vitality, resilience and you become susceptible to illnesses. The stress mounts up this accumulation leads to continuing disturbances in the physical-spiritual area.

Reiki helps you to experience your anger, fears or feelings of guilt and helps you ?let go? of the negativity bringing about harmony and positive emotions.

The Reiki treatment hand positions correspond with the body?s endocrine glandular system and the seven main charkas. The endocrine system regulates hormone balance and metabolism. Our seven main charkas are seated in the human etheric body. They are connected to fine energy channels running along the spine. Without them the physical body could not exist. These energy centers collect subtle energy, transform it, and supply it to the body. Each chakra is linked to a certain organ or region in the body and has influence on its functions.

Reiki can help if you are suffering from depression, stress, emotional problems, and insomnia, pain and to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. It can also help to relax women undergoing IVF treatment making that treatment more successful.
