Welcome to the Nuin Yoga & Holistic Services! My name is Stephanie but you are welcome to call me Steph. I am a Network Administrator for the Spacecraft Operations Center at EchoStar and the owner of Nuin Yoga & Holistic Services. I have been a resident of Cheyenne for about 10 years and grew up in Colorado. I am very blessed to have met my husband, a Cheyenne native, here and we have two beautiful children, Kirra who is 7 and Collin who is 4. Many of you might know me as the artist, crafter and blogger from The Perennial Spirit.
When I was a little girl, I began a life long love affair with the written word- mythology, folklore, history, poetry, fiction, you name it! From this love developed a fascination with the wide variety of spiritual practices throughout the world. I am particularly interested in similarities found between cultures who are geographically distant. I have studied modern Paganism and Druidry with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, Core Shamanism with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, various modalities of Reiki and recently completed a 200-hour RYT Yoga Teacher Training with Blossom Yoga.
Nuin is an old Irish word that represents the Ash Tree, the Tree of Life or World Tree in many mythological contexts. The symbolism of the Tree of Life is found world wide in Hindu, Norse, Celtic, various Shamanic traditions and even in branches of the Abrahamic religions. My goal is to bring people together, create a community that acknowledges our cultural differences and honors our similarities, our common ancestry and our humanity.
I have recently acquired space at The Second Floor at The Paramount, 1607 Capitol Ave-Suite 328, and am so very honored to begin sharing what I love with our community! Starting in May, I will be offering Yoga, Reiki and Shamanic services, workshops, crafts, artwork and building community around the art of storytelling.
